Default HID question

I have a GSR now but i might get a JDM front later. At the moment i want to get a HID kit, will the HID kit that fit on my usdm front fit on the jdm one (if and when i decide to change it)?

Are you talking about an aftermarket kit, or the OEM Honda HID's?

aftermarket, lets say McCulloch 5000 series. If I get the USDM integkit now and go with JDM front, I should be able to swap my McCulloch without modification right? What about the JDM HID housing? Are they bigger than the US normal housing?

I believe that they both use 9006 bulbs so you wouldnt have any fitment problems.

Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Steve

You are correct

NON-HID JDM Housings use 9006 projector for lowbeam, as the USDM lowbeams. They can fit in either!

The housing is for a D2S HID bulb. In fact they use the same projectors as the S2000.

All OEM HID uses D2S unless they are in reflector housings, then they typically use D2R.
