call your local acura dealer. give them the serial number and they should give you teh code for free.. if not you can call Elk Grove Acura... i know for a fact that they give them over the phone (916) 392-1400
Getting a radio code is a dealer thing only. No one here can help you (unless they work at a dealership).
I work for Honda and there are strict policies in place that you cannot give out a radio code (or keycode, etc) unlesss proof of ownership of the radio is presented. If it's one from a salvage yard a simple receipt will do as well.

The only reason you should have to pay $85 for a code is if they have to pull the radio to get the serial number off of it. The code can be found in some places(like you mentioned, or in the glove box, owners manual, etc) in SOME vechicles.

Tre is correct. If you phoned up the dealership and asked how much to get a radio code they quoted you the cost of taking your radio out, seeing the serial #, and putting that into the computers whereupon it'll say the radio code.
Take the radio down to the dealership, take proof of ownership (receipt, etc, whatever you have) and give them the serial # and they'll hook you up with the radio code free of charge.
Atleast that's how we do it up here at our dealership.
