help FAIL emission test !!!!!!
pour some rubbing (isopropal) alcohol into your gas tank, a full bottol to a full tank, drive around for 15-20 minutes then go take the test. If done right you should pass with flying colors.

or they might detect the presence of the alcohol and suspend his license for trying to cheat
kidding, dunno if they would detect it or not. Hell I've never even had to put my car through an emissions test. I'm actually kinda curious to see if it would pass, considering how well it runs and the MPG I'm getting.

wow, fraud, that's always a great idea
Sounds like something that could get you slapped with HUGE fines and such if they found you out.

I run an aftermarket cat i had made by SMRP. its a high flow 2.5" cat. recently got my emissions test and it passed with flying colors, i also had put in a new rear o2 sensor. drove it hard for 20m inutes before the test.

Seriously a decent suggestion.

ISO-Heet

Also known as isopropanol, "gas line antifreeze", and "water remover". Not illegal.
Does a decent job on reducing HC, and since it burns cooler than gas it reduces NOx pollution as well. Just don't expect great mileage with too much of it in the tank.
GTP

Reduced my HC results by around 30% on a rich running, 180k mile Civic with a dieing catalytic. Allowed it to pass. Your results will probably vary.
And there's always putting E85 in the tank. Here is California, we already are forced to run a small percentage of ethanol (as if I needed worse mileage). However, if you can find E85 at a station, it should result in lower emissions all around, while giving you an octane bump. Though, if your computer does not compensate for the change in fuel, you'll run lean, as it takes more ethanol for stoichiometric burn.

as the guy above mentioned, get the "Guaranteed to pass" it works everytime! and if it doesnt, they tell you to send it back for a full refund! nothing to lose!
My friends car wouldnt pass right after he bought it so I did the alcohol trick, and it passed easy. After checking out his car and looking under it he had no cat it was just a straight pipe back. It takes about a half hour at the most to do, its not that time consuming.
