help with a brake problem (tricky)
here's the problem:
I changed my GF's pads and rotors last week (97 teggy LS) and now the rear drivers side brake exhibits the following characteristics:
There is a knocking sound coming from the wheel during braking, please note that it cannot be felt through the brake pedal. The knocking sounds exactly like rapping a single knuckle on a wood table. The sound is in time with the rotation of the wheel. The sound also can only be heard during braking when the vehicle is moving forward. There is no scraping noise, just the knocking like I said
brake performance doesn't seem to be effected
I jacked it and pulled everything off and put it all back together carefully, no change
I jacked it and wiggled the wheel to check the bearing, there is just the <FONT SIZE=""1"">slightest</FONT> play, but it doesn't seem loose at all, besides if it were the bearing one would think it would be constant anyways
so, what's my problem?
