Help, Bad #'s on compression check
Hello my name is jamal and im new to honda-tech. I have a 98 integra ls. Everything is stock besides exhaust. Me and my buddy did a compression check yesterday and the #'s read 200-200-100-126. We did everything we were suppose to do. My engine doesnt smoke, my water temp gauge is always at the right level, nothing strange comes out the exhaust. My car has about a little over 104k miles and runs fine. Where do i go for here because im trying to turbocharge it but need to fix my problem before i do. I new to the whole car thing so if i said or say anything that dont make sense dont mine me just correct me. Thanks everybody.
Like tegman85 say. How could you tell if your car is running in top condition like it should? Have you driven a different ls and if so, does it feel the same as your? Try adding some oil into the cyl with the low number and see if it rises significantly.
Was your car warmed up when you took this test? What happens when you pour a little oil in the low cylinders? Your first two readings were a bit high, so I'd suspect carbon build up. Try running a little seafoam through there (it will smoke when you do this, it's all the carbon burning off). See what happens after all of this, and you also have the option of a leak down test. Good luck

I dont have a clue about a dizzy being unplugged but yes me and my buddy unplugged the ecu fuse and the car was warmed up. I had my foot down on the clutch and throttle and was cranking the engine. I have not pour a little bit of oil on the low cylinders yet but hopefully sometime tomorrow or saturday.
tegman the car fills fine when im driving it but i have not ever drove another LS to compare. I will also do a compression check again and hope for the best before the next step. I highly appreciate the help. Thank goodness for honda-tech.com.

id say retest it ry and see if theres a change, there is a chance the hose wasnt screwed in all the way.
also this is kinda bad news, but the sdjaccent cylinders with low compression can mean a leaking headgasket.

Chances are if he got good #s on 3 cylinders then he probably did it right and as long as he followed the same guidelines for all the test then it wouldnt be that skewed.....sounds like its time for a rebuild (bent valves or worn rings...probably the latter since bent valves generally lead to 0 compression).
