headlight adjustment with hids...HELP
I just put hids in my teg. My car has H&R springs and the back is alot higher than the front so my lowbeams point abot 2 feet infront of the car. I turn my headlights on and cant see ANYTHING!! I tryed using a screwdriver and turning the wheel in the headlight to adjust the lens but it does NOTHING. How can i point my lights up so i can see? THANKS FOR ANY HELP...
The springs arent even the race H&R they are the sport but the back still sits up alot higher. I dont know why the adjustment wheel isnt moving the lenses to point them up.I put the hids in really good with relays and ballasts inside the bumper..I took the headlights out and i see inside the headlight is like a piece of metal block the bottom half.My friend told me because they are stock projector style.. but stil my lights poing 3 feet in front of the car. when i turn the lowbeams on its like having the corner lamps on. How the hell can i poing them up?`

are your bulbs located correctly inside the housing? The bulbs should look like this (D2S bulb w/ 9006 base to locate the bulb at the correct spot inside the housing):
And the beam pattern should look like this:
The headlight aim should not have changed that much from stock, even w/ the H&R springs. If yours is really off then I suspect your bulbs aren't located correctly in the housing, or maybe you don't have D2S bulbs.
Also know that the headlight adjustors are geared very low. You can't just turn the screwdriver a couple of times, you have to turn it many many times to get it to move. Where is the bubble located in the level when you are on level ground? If it's anywhere near the middle and your headlights are way off aim, then I know for a fact you have the wrong bulbs.

well from my experience if the bubble level is right in the middle, the lights will be too aimed too low. I don't go by that. I just measure the height of my headlights from the ground and make sure that the projector cutoff stays below that height.
What I'm saying is if his bubble levels are near center but the lights are way off aim, then he's got a problem. Otherwise he should just adjust them.

I have those bulbs but without the 9006 base. To make them work i took the 3 screws out of the piece that holds the 9006 in.. i put the bulb in and then screwed that piece back down.the bulbs are still pointing up tho..where can i get the 9006 hid bulbs and how much are they?

Your lighting is probably worse than it was w/ regular halogen bulbs. What you have to do is take a 9006 bulb, cut off the mounting ring w/ tabs, cut the tabs off the D2S bulb and glue the 9006 mounting ring onto it.
Somebody had a how-to site or thread or something but I don't know where it is.

Do you have any pics of your bulbs with a flat angle? I just got my second bulb in today and will be completing the 9006 ring conversion tonight hopefully. My first bulb seems to have the ring lower then yours to get the filiments in the same place. Also what did you use to attach the 9006 ring to the bulb?

what do you mean by flat angle?
I bought my setup from Trevor at visualdynamics last December, they were already converted and ready to go. You just have to put the D2S next to a 9006 and match the bubble with the filament to determine the position of the ring on the D2S.

Camera on flat surface and bulb standing straigh up so you get the side profile.
