headlight adjustment
i noticed my right headlight is a little low so i decided to adjust it. when i went to do it, i noticed that the "bubble" inside the headlight is pointing down. im not talking about the entire plastic clear housing, im talking about the glass bubble inside the low beam side of the headlight. i also noticed that the whole rubber casing where the bulb goes into is loose and this is why the light is off alignment. how can i tighten this? BTW, the left headlight is nice and tight, so im guessing there is something loose.. anybody? thanks
that bubble is supposed to be a tool in centering the headlight. it should be in the middle of the measurement bar. that rubber seal shouldnt give you trouble with your headlight adjustment. its there to hold the bulb in place.
The bubble is a level. If you are on level ground and the headlights are adjusted correctly then the bubble should be in the middle. As said earlier, the plastic part should not be loose.
damn i think my headlight is broken
the other one is perfect, the rubber is real stiff and wont move easily, the other headlight moves around like nothing.. do i have to get a whole new headlight?

Can you super glue it or something. You are talking about the black plastic ring that the bulb screws into right. New headlight assemblies are not cheap.

i just tried to adujust mine. exacept my haynes manual only showe done adjustment point, yet there are two, one for vertical and one for horizontal. i tried moving the point it showed me and it didn't go up or down; nor did I notice it go left or right. What's the real, detailed way? my left headlight is too low. i really need to trash this universal civic/integra/crv haynes manual and get a helm's.

For 99 your adjustment for the vertical is a nut. I think it is like a 8mm or 10mm socket. Turn that. You will know it. It looks like a washer with holes and a bolt in the middle.
there are 4 nuts and bolts that hold the headligsht in place. loosen all four... center the headlight til the bubble is in the middle. position the headlight when its centered and tighten all the bolts.
alright guys, i did exactly what you guys told me for the left light and it is centered perfect.. however, the right side is still low,and that thing is still loose.. im actually thinking of supergluing it!!
thanks for the responses
