Which isn't that big of a deal.... He'll probably run into this problem with any 4-1 header.

I have a Honda jdm 98 ITR header on my DA and I love it.

There are quite a few choices, depending on your budget.

I ran a cheap Airmass 4-2-1 header and made 197whp on my built n/a motor a few years back. A 4-2-1 will give better mid range power/torque where as a 4-1 will do best up top. If your car is mainly a daily driver I would go 4-2-1.

If your going hard core you could always go Hytech or even SMSP, which are considered the best in the business. I'll warn you ahead of time though they are damn $$$$$ as they are custom fabricated for you.

My opinion go for something like a Comptech header. Check them out, im sure they make a header for your DA.

Goodluck.

For the cheapness you can get a Megan header and modify the collector to 2.25"+.

Ill be running a Vibrant JPSEC 4-2-1 with the 2.5'' collector on my DA. Its an exact replica of the T1R/JUN header, but it does require you to notch the cross-member pretty good. Its supposed to give very, very good power, and looking at it in person- Im very satisfied with the quality. Its beefy.

Ground clearance (a big issue on DA's) is supposed to be awesome.

Here is my list from when I was deciding, I ended up going with a new DC 4-2-1 ceramic with the nice little welded on plate. If I had any of these I would carry around the EO print out with me.

Lightspeed CARB EO D-377-4
Part #s H02625, H02652B, H03028

Airmass CARB EO D-465
Part # 80000, 80057 (90-91 DA)
Part # ,80002 80502 (92-93 DA)

Edelbrock TES Shorty EO D-215-52
Part 6629, 6729, and 6829

Chikara (made by Hedman) EO D-167-16
Part # 36010, 36014 for 90-91
Part # 36020, 36024 for 92-93

ZR Racing EO D-532
08-AC-01 for 90-91
08-AC-02 for 92-93

I left the DC one off, since you didn't ask for that.

If you want to look up the correct part # and get a short description, just type the EO number in this search form:

I am running a DC 4-2-1 ceramic also. But, the clearance issue with a 4-1 is nothing if you have one of these:

I can run any damn header I want now!

i just ordered my full-race traction bars today. . . can you still use the factory radiator tabs??? or do you have to chop them for the install? I'm still using the normal size radiator. . .

Quit showing off.

I'm jealous. I want one of those so badly.

As a side note, my jdm itr 4-1 DOES NOT hang very low at all on my DA. Ground clearance is great, IMO, considering the design of the header.

I run a Mugen 4-1 and it clears the cross member perfectly.

Yeah they are Full-Race! I love them soo much. You don't have to do any modifications to install it. It bolts to the front mount, and the frame and it's all direct bolt on.

that might help my issue...I hit a big rock and bent the $%*&$ out of my crossmember and it tweaked the radiator. how do you mount the bottom of the radiator with the? and how much of a PITA is it to remove the x-member?
