Hatch Stuck, Shut
My hatch is stuck shut on my Teg. It would do this every now and then and then it'd come unlocked after playing with the latch a little. Anyone have any clues how to get this thing unstuck?
You probably have a bent hatch opener cable or hatch latch.
carefully remove the rear panel and check your latch to see if it's bent, also carefully remove the opener cover (right by your driver door shared with the gas lid release) and check for any damage there.
if thsoe two places seem to be ok, then you have to remove your driver side plastic panels and check the route of the cable to the rear to see if there is anything kinking it or if it's damaged.
the helms manual has the full layouts if you can get your hands on one of those...but it's self explanatory once you find the cable.

ok, still need to check your latch/release/cable where ever is located...there most likely is something bent or kinked.
Have you examined these things already?

this is why I said to check the ends first (the release lever and the latch)
as for how....**** happens man...people install dynamat/stereos/remove plastic panels and put them back on and as for the latch and lever getting bent, that can be done many ways...attempted theft through the hatch, someone messing around with the release lever.......a lot of ways.
not saying it's the cable itself, but if you've checked everything else (and it's fine), then you need to check the cable itself to make sure it hasn't been moved to make it get kinked.
