Hard To Find Problem..... PLEASE HELP!!!
Hey again guys, i've been on here a few times trying to figure out a problem i have been having with my 1991 Acura Integra GS.. Today i was driving on the interstate when i noticed that i have no power past 5000 rpm and the engine is lugging out around 3k too.. while i was exiting off the interstate the car completely **** out on me on the off ramp.. I was thinking that i may have jumped timing or it broke. So i got the car towed home and took it apart to check the timing belt which i found to be ok, and the timing marks are dead on right where they should be.. Next i put the timing cover back together and moved on to checking fuel pressure which was fine.. lastly i went and checked for spark and there is none.. A couple weeks ago i replaced the EFI relay under the dash and that is when all the problems started to happen.. My tach was bouncing all over the place while driving it and then the above symptoms started to occur with in the last few days.. Any ideas what the problem could be? Possibles Crank Position Sensor??? Your help is greatly appreciated!! Hope i can figure this out soon.. Thanks Again,
Dan

i had a problem with the tack bouncing around and my car was missing under load. it turned out to be the ignition coil was going bad. sounds like this may be your problem too.
ya i replaced the EFI relay directly under the stearing wheel.. i have also put a new distributor in the car which should have a new coil in it? maybe it went bad in the distributor?
Sounds like you have a bad distributor.. I had almost the same thing happen to me in my DA leaving the store a while back. It was running kinda rough for a few miles I went into the store and when I got back out and tried to start her up it took about three times to get running. then it died again pulling out of the parking lot after that it was all crank no spark
I it towed to the shop the next day to get it diagnosed and turns out the dizzy had gone out.. Hope this helps good luck man

ya i'm gonna go return the distributor, its a remanufactured one i bought from oreilly auto parts, its got a lifetime warranty, gonna rip it out and get it replaced, hopefully don't have to wait 3 or 4 days.....
