GSR or LS
Ill tell you this.... If you crave low end torque at all and dont plan on moddin the gsr extensivly ... For god sakes get the ls, cuz If your gonna daily drive a gsr near stock like me your gonna get some speedin tickets tryin to keep the rpm above 4000 constatnly... basically what I am sayin to you is the ls has a longer stroke for better low end torque while the gsr has a shorter stroke which allows it to rev to 8000 rpm safely... In my oppinion I woulda got an LS if I could do it again... Yeah the gsr is faster when your floorin it, but the ls feels faster when your just daily drivin... but Im not gonna tell you what to do, just make sure you dont screw up like me and test drive both extensively
LS all the way
You would have to love GSR's to really have the ***** to own one and worry about it getting stolen. Chances are they'll atleast try and steal it. If you not ready to carry that burden stick with the LS.
Which car is better: GSR

well you do this many ways.....if you want to slap a turbo on it go wit the ls because it has a lower compression and would work best than a gsr........yes it is true if you are rdy to tak the burden of gettin ur car stolen and speedin tickets......because i got a gsr and its great better than an ls.......believe i wen through 2 ls' and my third teg a gsr maks a huge diff in all......compared to it i would go wit the gsr hands down.......
bla bla bla...this question is asked almost everyday. which is better, GSR or LS?!?
the real answer lies within yourself. hell, anyone can come to me and tell me that a GSR is better and i would just blow them off.
sure stock for stock the GSR is a better engineered motor. but outside of that, both motors can be made to produce tremendous amounts of power. on top of that, you can always mix-match parts from both motors to create an even better motor than what came out of the factory.
now if you ask me for my opinion, i would tell you like it is...any GSR with the same amount of WHP as me would more than likely get burnt off the line and on the highway. i'm sure you know why...it all lies with torque, what i call the power of/to accelerate.

i dont feel like reading the whole forum but i have some input...
if u have the money.. invest it
30 extra hp is a nice thing to think about.. the best i can do for my car is intake headers pulleys (i work for my car) and thats not near 30 hp...

And to me sacrificing low end in a four banger is a HUGE thing because well **** its only a four cylinder... And what I have learned is that peak power is not the answer... Its power before the peak that matters... Yeah sure the GSR has 170 hp but thats at freakin 8,000 rpm...
Its the reasong I am superchargin my gsr because I NEED low end... And if that does not work, bye bye GSR... I am bein so helpful cuz I too not long ago was in this position and I feel I made the wrong choice... pm me if you need further assistance...

I <3 my gs-r
Go with whatever is in you're budget. Just don't rice it out. Only tegs in my town are full of rice with APC mufflers, makes me wanna cry
LS/GS-R both awesome, both can do a lot.
But if you go LS, turbo the bitch. GS-R you can go with bolt ons and be good to go
