i have a integra gs 98 automatic.. my motor is dead... i heard a lot about gsr automatic can work........

what u guy think ?

 

They were sold that way oversees. You'd need an automatic ECU to go with the GSR engine. A buddy of mine has one of those ECU's if you needed it.

 

I think it's a bad idea to swap in a transmission that was never designed to handle that much power.

 

The trans with the B18B may not like it, but they did sell cars with automatic B18C's. I'd try to see if there were any differences between the oversees automatics and the one the used here. It may only be a different gear ratio with the rest being the same.

As for "that much power"....30 more HP? It's not like going from 140hp to 300...

 

 

Either just to a Auto-to-Manual swap and do a GSR swap or just swap in a whole new B18B.
