good or bad idea?
I seen a gsr w/ a jdm front for sale. It has around 100k miles on the chassie but the motor was rebuilt so I'm not sure how much miles. Has some mods like I/H/E, cams, and it was also port n polished. The original color was red but its repainted yellow now. The only reason I'm thinking about getting it is because it has a jdm front and its a gsr too. If I do buy it how much would you think it would cost me to repaint it back to red? Should I go for it or buy a stock gsr and put the jdm front later? How much does a whole jdm front installation usually cost including the parts anways. I just LOVE that look. What questions should I ask about the rebuilt engine? He said theres something wrong with the head gasket but it will be fixed before he sells it. BTW he's askin $7000.
A front end will cost you about $1500, depending on where you get it. Paint depends on who does it, A really good job will cost you $2000, of course you could go get a cheap job and only spend a few hundred.
My concern would be as to why the engine was rebuilt and why is the head gasket bad now??? It sounds like someone has beat on this motor.

I think that would be a good deal if you can drop the price a little... it will cost you more, if you will get a regular GSR and will convert the front... so if you like that car, if it runs good and evrything is ok -- go for it! GSR w/JDM Front is pretty nice! 6k or even 6.5 is normal. good luck!
