should LS almost stock run 93 octane or 87? I heard some **** that people with LS's were getting way better gas mileage with 87, rather than 93, is this true, and also is there any gain with 93, or am I just wasting money at the pump. Thanks All.

 

How?

87 combusts much faster than 89 or 93. When I had my Civic I ran 87 for months, switched to 93 and I got 30 more miles to the tank.

I say at least run 89 and get a happy medium.

 

i have an ls engine, i ran premium gas and got about 260 miles to the tank.
switched to regular, 87 or 89, depending where you are, and now i get about 310 to the tank.

only a v-tec integra engine requires premium

Yeah I've heard that the vtec engine only benefits from the high octane gas. So with your ls use 87.
