Fuse keeps blowing
I have a '95 Integra Special Edition, and I have been experiencing issues with my Wiper, Washer (P/W RLY, S/R RLY) fuse blowing. It is a 20 amp fuse. I have not recently added any additional electrical equipment to the car. When this fuse blows the windows, moon roof, front wipers and rear wiper stop working.
Since I bought the car I have had an issue with the rear antenna motor non-functional. it used to buzz when I turned the car on as it attempted to raise and lower the antenna, but I have not noticed the sound.
The rear whipper also has worked intermittently since I purchased the car.
Also around the same time this fuse started blowing, the heater stopped working. I am not sure if this is related, but it blows air, but no heat.
Today I put a 30 amp fuse to roll the windows up and smoke rose from the dash in the left-hand corner and from the rear near the wiper motor. I quickly shut off the car. I was unable to pin point the exact location of where the smoke was coming from. Not sure if it was near the wiper motor, or the antenna motor.
Any feedback would be helpful. I plan to rip out the antenna motor to put a s2000 style one in and remove the rear wiper in hopes to resolve the issue (plus I need to do it anyway).

Don't use fuses that are rated for higher amps than the factory spec. The fuse is blowing for a reason, it's doing its job.
You most likey have a short to ground somewhere in the circuit. They can be a pain in the *** to find.

Hopefully you did not now just cause more damage then what was all ready done. You need to unplug everything on that circuit to find out what causing this

I really had no choice. I live an apartment and it would be ridiculous for my to leave both my windows down all right. Not to mention it rained and hailed heavily that night. I do not see what choice I had considering this happened the week and I do not have time to spend a few hours to hunt down a bad ground.
I would also like to add, I am fully aware of the purpose of a fuse. I also am aware of the damage that can be caused by sending more power through a circuit (yeah not the best idea). It was either I leave the windows down, wake up and my car was full of water and/or the car was gone or I roll the windows up. Granted it is not the best idea, but at 10:00 at night with work in the morning, I could not spend all night screwing around.

Desmond, any ideas on where I can retrieve a list of items on this circuit?
I am not asking how stupid it was to roll my windows up, but suggestions on how to correct the issue. Some electrical insight would be very helpful.

you could also have a short in one of the components on the same circuit path. Fuses blow when a load is bypassed. Decreased resistence increases current flow in the circuit and can cause the fuse to blow.
How to eliminate this and find your problem, and iam kinda rusty at this because I havent delt with to many electrical problems for a little while and things dont stick to me when I dont usually have to apply them everyday.
Start with finding all the components on the circuit. Try unpluging the ones on that fuses circuit path one at a time. Connect them one at at time until that fuse blows. Then either you have, that one you just pluged in is a bad part causing a short. Or a short in that path leading up to the fuse box or ICU.

It wasn't an attack on your intelligence or anything OP, it's just a lot of people seriously don't realize this.
Your best bet is to get a wiring diagram that shows you every component on that circuit. A multimeter is probably gonna be very helpful if you don't already have one.

Or you could run continuity tests to all parts that aren't working to see if there is a short somewhere. It's gonna take an ohm meter and the diagrams and test procedures and a lot of time and effort to find it. Or just take it to the dealership and pay a crap load of money for them to trouble shoot it. If things started smoking you're looking at burning up wires and stuff. You might have to pull the dash and interior and get the carpet out to check the wiring harness going from the fuses through the car to all the electronics in the car.
it sounds like though to me, and because ive only replaced a handful of these. A Bad ICU. or Fuse box. Only because its on multiple circuits. Iam sure that the starter relay and the power window relay and windshield washer motor is not on the same circuit. Not saying to just throw in a fuse box. Just saying. Don't be surprised if thats it.
