front engine stiffener needed?
hey guys, i was wondering what is the purpose of the front engine stiffener. my gsr motor i just purchased didnt come with alot of stuff including the stiffener. is it necessary to have it? TIA

the front engine stiffener connects lower tranny to the engine block. there is also a rear one but im hoping my LS one fits the GSR motor. anyone else know?

You probably want to get one, it'll help spread the load from the engine-tranny bolts. Check the link in your signature, that stiffener is only like $27. Even cheaper from a junkyard?
