Default Flywheel

i just got a J4D LSD tranny (usdm type r transmission) that i'm going to put in my gs-r. am i going to need to change the flywheel or is the flywheel from my gs-r's tranny going to fit ok?

yeah it'll work. no need to change your flywheel, unless you wanna get a lightened flywheel

your flywheel should be fine, but IMO if your gonna crack open your tranny might as well get a new clutch and flywheel, maybe some mounts.

yup i would do that!!! save you the time with cracking open your tranny again...its a bitch soo much stuff to take off...

don't get an 8.8lb flywheel until you decide where you want your powerband to be..

Yeah actually the reason I asked was because I already ordered a new flywheel, but when I got it I specified that I had a GS-R. I wasn't sure if it was gonna work with the Type-R tranny, but it sounds like it should.

I got a toda chrome molly flywheel, it was recommended by alot of ppl. Also got an Action 2MS clutch i'm gonna have thrown in.

btw, i drive a gs-r, so i'm assuming i'd want my powerband in the top end? where the v-taaaaaak kicks... right?
