Default fluidine radiators..

hi, i got into an accident recently and my radiator broke. so im looking to replace it, you think it would be ok to get a fluidine instead of a stock one? and my main concern is does it fit without modification? since its thicker do i have to modify anything? thanks alot.

Keep it stock unless you intend to do upgrades that neccesitate a larger more efficient radiator. In most cases, the stock radiator is adequate for even those kinds of upgrades.

my radiator developed a crack on the endtank so i replaced mine with a fluidyne. my motor is all stock except for the N1 exhaust. i figured that since i'm going to be modding the hell out of my motor within the next year, i might as well get a radiator that's better. it seems to be working pretty well.

as far as install goes, it's pretty basic, simple bolt on. except that for some reason, my radiator didn't have a place to mount the ac fan. so i had to go to an autozone and buy a radiator fan mounting kit for about $4. hope this helps

Excellent advice. No need to go Fluidyne...since their damn fans cost more then the radiator itself! Get a stock or OEM replacement. Most of the time, even with turbo, the stock one will be fine. I was running 15psi daily for a long time with my stock one.

If you want something better, look at C&R, they come with their own fan.

well like the other guys said, stock is good enough even for turbo. Mine was fine untill it started leaking. I got my C&R from groupbuycenter.com for 375.

Sounds like stock isn't "good enough" at all, since they so frequently leak. Why would anyone want to replace their radiator with one that's almost guaranteed to leak? If you're going to be keeping your car for a while, invest in a quality radiator like a Fluidyne, not for performance, but for durability.

Mines didn't not leak also until I got my turbo and it kept on touching/rubbind up against it. Well my car is a 95 and even if it just leaked by itself, it is still 7 years of usage.
