can someone tell me if the flat spot on a dc sport header comes on it or how do you get one and why is it bad if it is.

flat area on which part? you should be a little more specific...i assume you are talking about near the 'bend', the middle of the header. if this is what you are talking about, then, no the header did not come like that. it usually happens when the header scrapes the ground after the car it was on bottoms out. the scrapes and/or dents formed can be cosmetic, but if they are serious, they can affect flow of the header, thus reducing the performance.

 

thats the spot im tlaking about thanks dude. how do you know if it is cosmetic or affecting the performance i guess you cant be 100% sure

 

yeah its hard to say just by a description...if you post a picture of it, someone maybe able to tell. basically if its making the diameter of the piping a lot smaller, than its safe to say its going to have an effect
