ran a 16.9 with a 2.5 60ft...does anyone know what the normal 1/4 mile is for a stock auto LS?

auto tegs are weaksauce imo. i was out cruising with my friend one night in his 97 accord lx, also an auto, w/just a short intake and catback exhaust. pulled up next to an auto ls w/a fartcan at least. he started everything by reving, long story short, we waxed him from the start, there was no click shifting involved on either person's part, just punching it in d4

1.) your times are about right
2.) in regards to the starun running 17.1 or whatever... who cares~ are you guys expecting something from an automatic LS
3.) in regards to the LS with not vtec and that's why it sucks's...
4.) and no click shifting, just punching it D4...I hope that's all you do. NOt only would manushifting an automatic be pointless but also plan on replacing your trans very soon

Time to use the muscle car trick... torque converter, get a higher stall speed. I believe TCI makes them. You might be able to get it done by Level10. That's about it though for auto trannys unless you wanna get it changed out for a 5 speed.

i ran 16.9 with AEM CAI, 2.5" cat-back to super turbo muffler, MSD SCI, and Sporline springs. Full interior, and 90 degree day.

now i ran 15.5 with 15g turbo, same car, 85 degree day. leaking boost. I need to go back to the track....

i got notin to learn...i know my car is slow...and i'd have to pour a ton of money into it to even let it compare to the realm of 285 horse 325 ft/lbs of torque...

gonna sell the teg and get a ws-6 for almost no additional money...then i'll spend that 3 grand i was gonna put into my turbo and throw a blower on the trans am, and then smoke just about any streetable honda on this board

click shifting saved me .3 seconds...and it does nothing to your tranny if you upshift it by clicking it...look in the manual, it says that its allowed....learn your ****

well if you want a fast honda its pretty easy. Get a hatch, swap engine, turbo and dyno. That will be 1 fast ride if you got a nice setup.

hey im jsut basing my reply on experience, I know it says that in to manual but it also says change oil every 7500 miles .

I've had numerous friends that manushift auto's and now there auto's jerk pretty hard when the gears change.

It's obvious that shifting an automatic that's not suppose to be will put wear and tear on your tranny. Only time will tell and how often you do it. It's not horrendous to upshift or downshift an auto as I sometimes do in my LS ~ but frequently
