Default Exhaust system for DC2

I have a white DC2 and am about to put in an LS. Im looking for exhaust options. I want something quiet. Im definitely going with the Apexi NOIR catback exhaust because its quiet and doesn't attract cops since it's black. My problem is, i have no clue what header will bolt on to this cat back exhaust with no modification needed. I want a DC sports since it's relatively cheaper than lots of expensive ones out there. I just don't know if it'll directly bolt on to the Noir catalytic converter or whatever its supposed to go to. A prompt answer would be greatly appreciated and please no sh** talkers. I would really like some serious input. Thanks.

what apexi noir did you buy?
04-01 ls rs gs se
or a 94-99 gsr
or a 00-01 gsr
get one thats the same as the exhaust. fyi the 94-01 ls rs is the same exhaust system as the 00-01 gsr

If it's a DC2 and not a Type R, then you probably have a GSR. What year is the car? Why is an Ls motor being droped in? Are the original exhaust components still in the car?

I Have a 95 integra ls. To be completely honest, I don't know if I'm going to go gsr. But the first thing I want to buy is headers and exhaust for the car. If I go gsr, would the apexi exhaust be restrictive since its 60mm (2.36 inches)? Again, I really want the apexi noir I just don't want it to be a bottleneck in the event I do go Gsr motor.

Less backpressure is always better. For a GS-R 2.36 is already considerably wider than stock so it's not like a bad thing but obviously wider is better for power (although also a lot noisier).

Not sure at what point upgrading starts to matter, but IMO the best reason for getting a 2.5+" exhaust now is so that it will mate better to the 2.5" collector header you'll be buying in the future. I've got a WS2 and the only thing I regret is that it's going to add a post-collector piping constriction.

So what would you recommend. 2.5" collector to my 2.36" Exhaust? or get a 2.36" collector to my 2.36" exhaust? The most id have on the GSR is I/H/E. Maybe cams and pistons in the future but nothing more than that for certain. Would the 2.36" all the way suffice? Thanks for the input guys i really appreciate it.

I think the DC is a 2" collector, and in that case it would make sense to have it paired to a 2.36" exhaust.

However, you'd be getting a much better header for roughly the same price if you got an RMF narrow replica. That has a 2.5" collector and for that a 2.36" exhaust seems wonky to me.

I've got a 2.36" exhaust and it's fine, but like I say it's not as good as if I had a bigger exhaust (although I don't really want my car any louder TBH).

Sorry i meant DC or w.e my car is. I have a 95 LS. Well I don't want a 2" collector. The lowest ill do is the same size as my exhaust. If i decide to go 2.5" collector, how would that connect to a 2.36" exhaust?

2.5" collector to 2.5" cat (either welded or via flange) is simple.

You'd then have 2.5" cat to 2.5" flange on B-pipe with a custom taper that goes to 2.36" on the rest of the B pipe. Or just weld the taper to the cat and weld that to the B-pipe.

It's not ideal but it would get the job done. If you use a flange on the cat, at some later date you could upgrade to a 2.5" or 3" exhaust if you so desired.
