Ok to give you some history I just built that motor. Everything ran fine till tuning.... Any ways go out for a street tune. I can full throttle the car and go through 2nd hit 3rd went through it fine full throttle. during tuning some half throttle pulls slow and gradual you hit 6k rpm and the car will sputter like crazy bot litk pop... pop... pop... but like a machine gun pppppppppppppppppp and you can gas through it to 6500 third gear does it at about seven thousand. tuner has only experienced that with a motor running to rich. but air/fuel looks fine at those rpm. stepped it up to ten lbs this happens at 4 6 7 how ever it is only on anything less then full throttle. if I full throttle it go right through it and on to the next gear...

The distributor is new got it online at a1 auto
i replaced the cap and rotar button thinking it might be cheap or something didnt solve issue
i bought brand new ngk plug wires and plugs gaped at 28
then I thought it might be the plugs sounds like spark is blowing out so I got new plugs and gaped them down to 24-25 still same problem...
I was hoping some one out there has had this prob and can tell me a solution it is all stock ignition didnt finish tuning 10lbs because of that want to find out what that is and why it is doing this. Please any help would be awesome!!!

LOL sounds like the ECU calibration went bad. Take it back to them and get it calibrated back to stock specs, then redone. Because it IS the tuning, they should warranty their work and at the least, set it back to stock for you. Good luck.

 

No the people tuning are friends off mine he has just never experienced the car doing that. the ecu is running the hondata s300. I checked my resistance in the wires and they all seem fine. So the car is not finished being tuned by any means we just want to get this figured out before we proceed on to 10 and 19lbs so i am anxiously trying to find out what is the matter...any other suggestion I dont think its the ecu he still has the wide band and everything in the car... any other suggestions

 

what map sensor are you runing in the car ?

 

I am running a gm 3 bar and have used that with my last motor too.
