engine check light

i missed fourth gear and hit second from the top of third. . . i think my car has the symptoms of having some bent valves. . . why hasnt my engine light come on ?

a really rough idle. . but then above 3k it all seems normal to me. . i didnt notice any power loss except for under 3k
