ok i've done my emission's like 3 times now, getting tired going back there failing, i've changed out rs machines regrind gsr cams back to stock gsr, but i don't have the b18c1 in the car right now it's being currently rebuilt. I have the obd-0 b16 coverted to obd-1, car has I/H/E w/ 2.5 inch pipe, new o2 sensor, readjusted valves, oil change w/ amsoil 5w30, fuel pressure set to 39 psi on B&M fpr, cams gears are stock, and that's all i can think of.
plz any advice would help. I'm thinking of putting the car back to stock just for emissions but I don't have any of the parts for the exhaust except for intake, and i will be putting the gsr longblock once the shortblock comes back from the machine shop.

 

what exactly is failing on the test?

do you have a good working cat-converter on the car?

 

i failed hyrdocabron and carbon monixide which is a first i usually pass it but not this time. I'm using a magnaflow high flow cat that is like 1 1/2 yrs old.

 

ok i just found out i had tdc wrong when i had put on the timing belt to the cams gears which were set the lines on the gears, but now my only issue is trying to get distributor timing, i know i got everything correct this time, but my distributor won't go anyfurther to 16 degrees, i have the distributor all the way towards the front of the car from some reason that doesn't seem right to me, before the cam swap the distributor was facing back towards the firewall. any suggestions would help me here. I also have an extra distributor that i will try tomorrow to see if that will work.
