Default emissions advice!!!!

ok before i start off i'm gonna say i already searched and found nothing that has to do what i'm gonna deal with.

ok guy's i'm gonna needs some advice/input on my problem here, first off i have a oem built gsr block, compression is at 12.1 using p30 pistons, head is a gsr that is fully built, 3 angle valve job, port n polish, toda b cams, toda valve springs, and omnipower high comp valves. now my question is i needs to do smog test but my motor is built, i know i have to swap out the toda cams to my gsr cams, and switch out my ecu to stock but wouldn't it cause my motor to run lean? this is where i'm stuck any input would help alot?

Believe it or not, when I had to smog my GSR, all I did was swap my cams, IM and ecu. Car still passed smog with the high CR pistons, street port and polish and bolt ons.

If it is a '94 why swap out the ecu? The smog test only goes to 25mph in 3rd gear. Go have the ECU retuned with the stock cams and make sure it isn't running pig rich, then when done have the old tune put back. If you are running hondata s300 you could put the old tune on yourself with any computer with usb. I think stock is somewhere around 14:1 air:fuel ratio.

I have a the similar setup, but I am running skunk 2 stg 2 , and supertech
valve train, the only problem will be your port n polish, I think my port n polish is a bit too aggressive and it ran lean so I had no choice but to run bigger injectors and a proper tuning, depending how much your head was ported, it could cause you problems, at the time you put your stock ecu
remember you have higher flow and more compression
give it a try, I could be wrong.......but I couldnt make my car pass even if I put the stock cams and ecu back in

i have a mild port job, it's ported to match the intake manifold gasket. also the motor isn't tuned yet, i haven't got the chance too since i don't have any money, but i did buy a basemap chip from phearable.net just for now till i can dyno tune

I have a port/polish/valve train/port match to intake manifold to the head and sk2 stg1 cams(want to upgrade when I got the funds) and skunk2 intake manifold and pass with stock ecu, just had to leave butterfly stuff connected to fool the ecu. The only reason I have to use stock ecu is I am obd2 and the smog tech has to plug into the diag port to check the monitors/cel.
OBD 1 you can get away with leaving Hondata or whatever you use in because they don't plug in to check for cel. If they do, it will show none ne ways.
