I will try to be as discriptive as poss. I noticed about 2 weeks ago that my elec. mirror switch wasn't working in the up dirrection. (other dirrections still worked) I replace the switch and it didn't work. I take both switches apart and the circuit board in the switch is blown out in the same place. I repair it by jumping the blown out part and then try using it again, this time on the pass. mirror. It blows out again. I have noticed this once in a BLUE MOON:I will get engine noise thru my speakers also. I wouldn't think anything of it except my radio and all wiring is factory. I am hoping both problems are related but don't think so. I have also misplaced my Helms so I am coming to you in hopes of some ideas I may be overlooking so I don't end up tearing the whole car apart looking for this. Thank you inadvance.
EDIT: The noise continues thru the speakers even with the radio off.

Well I took the shifter console out and found nothing out of the ordinary. I tested the mirrors themselves to see if they were bad and they worked in every dirrection. I am still hopeing somebody can help with this.

Can't help with the mirrors, but my factory radio also picks up engine noise very seldom, at very random times. At first I used to turn the car off then back on to make it stop, but then I figured out I could just turn the headunit off and then back on.
I'm having the same problem with my mirrors now. did you ever figure out how to fix this by any chance?
thanks!
