Hi HT, Searched and failed.

I gave a friend my old ecu from my 98 civic that had a lsvtec. he put the street tuned p72 ecu into his 93 DA. he cannot rev past 5500rpm??/ I put the ecu into my car and it revs out just fine. and in another car thats a civic. why would it rev out fine in my car and not rev out in his DA?

Has it got somthing to do with the VSS being cable and electronic?

what need to be done or tested?

any check engine lights. sounds as if the vtec oil switch or somethings not right

 

what engine is he running on the DA?

 

he has an LSvtec.
I can look at the car so its a pain to diagnose over the phone.
I think he said a stock ecu was working fine.
