can the ECT sensor affect idle?

Example.. car idles fine when cold, when warmed up it has a mild miss, and searching for the idle point... sort of bouncing idle/miss ..... sounds like a hiccup......


compression is good.

 

If your temp gauge is reading correctly, you might want to start with a basic tune up, specifically check the timing and plugs.
