Dyno tuning?
My setup- JRSC, JR fuel pump, JR btc, JR 8lb pulley, Tanabe RM catback, DC sports header, AEM short ram, MSD modded dist. cap, External coil, and MSD wires. It is untuned. What should I expect from, say and hour of dynotuning? How do they do it? Base run, then start adjusting plugs, gaps, timing, btc, fuel pressure and so forth? They charge like 100 bucks an hour right? Thanks,

how would they adjust fuel pressure, u dont have AFC or anything like that.
I went to dyno and they adjusted my cam gears and fuel using AFC, and my timing.
Also, if you have older engine, be mentality prepared for a let down if your engine is already weak/has many miles.

my fuel pressure regulator is adjustable. and cant they adjust timing? the engine has 30k on it. 2k boosted.

Realize ... that if your upper RPM band needs the fuel to be more rich ... if they adjust the FPR it will adjust it for the WHOLE RPM band ... thus you will prob have shitty Idle ...
the correct way would be to adjust the fuel pressure for the appropriate performance at idle ... then tune the rest of the RPM band with the SAFC or VAFC or what AFC you have
be sure to check with the shop and see if they offer wideband fuel tuning along with the gear tuning .... but you will need both ... and prob a good idea to write down or get a printout however they do it .. of your AFC settings ... incase it ever gets reset

Plain and simple you don't really have anything to tune, its usually $100 to USE the dyno, they tacked on another $75 to use the wideband, and I tuned myself (I have afc) if they tuned it, I could only imagine what *** raping they would have charged on that.
I only need 1 hour and did 13 pulls and I gained 15+hp and 15+lbs of torque and was very happy with my 12.0-12.3 ratio in boost above 4500rpms... But its a good idea for you to do a baseline first and see what your a/f ratio looks like and then go from there. But as is they can't adjust much of anyting....
