Duplicator? Paint?
Alrite i hav a DA and well its all different shades of white. Cuse i hav replaced a few parts becuse of a accident i got into about a month ago.
My question is how does the duplicator work? i hav heard u can purchase this stuff basically anywhere like napa/auto zone etc etc etc. Wat kinda work would i hav to do to prep the stuff. Does the duplicator work(look) well on large portions of ur car or just for small regions? i hav heard it leaves a flat look i am alrite with that i just need somethin for my car cuse the hood is TERRIBLE it has fugly spots and a few dents but it was 30 bux i really need a hood at the time. Also the fender is pretty discolored
and if this duplicator isnt that good how hard is paint cuse i want to just do this stuff by my self becuse i refuse to pay 500 bux for some earl shib **** to paint my parts.
and also last part is wat is the proper way to prep down parts cuse i keep hearin 100 diff things
thanks in advance

well, i've painted my side skirts with the dupli spray cans. they come in really small cans, half the size of a regular spray can. it says something like import automovtive colors or something like that. i bought 4 cans just for my two side skirts and a regular size can of dupli clear coat. it didn't come out as glossy as the original car paint but i like it. if i were you, i would go to a local paint shop and buy some paint from them. when me and my brother did his side skirts and front lip on his rsx, he went to a shop and they color matched his paint. they come in a paint can so you're gonna have to buy some of those air compressed bottles and spray from that.
yeah but i heard it is like 60 bux just to get ur paint matched if that is the case i think ima just go wit the set oem paint cuse my car was painted just last feb. its still clean on everythin other then the hood bumper and fender...
well, if you're going ot paint the whole hood and fenders, you're going to need a lot those spray cans, plus primer and clear coat. so do what ever you think is best. If you're low on money, i guess this would be the best way to go, but when my brother bought his paint, it came out to be around 40 bucks and those dupli spray cans cost almost 5 dollars a bottle and they're half the size of an original spray can.
With white, you can get away with using almost any automotive spray paint. I've used it on my friend's 91 CRX on the rear quarter, front and rear bumpers. Only used 3 cans at $5 bucks a pop and some clear. Wet sanded with 1500 grit and buffed. Paint almost matches original. You be be looking at the paint from inches to really see a difference. Hope this helps.

umm i dont know bout that on the bumper u can get away with it i think but the fender is a diff story i hav a really diff white fender ... it doesnt match at all with the car ... if u look from about 15 ft way the car isnt that bad but from any closer on the passanger side the car is just funky... i think ima just get the oem paint and do it that way so do i just need to do 1500 wet dry and buff? or will i need to prep more
