Dumb shift boot question

Dumb shift boot question
I have a dc2 center console in my civic, the problem is I have no idea how the boot attaches to the console, if you could, could you post a pic of how it's done. I cant see how it even apears to fit. I have a feeling the my center is from an auto. Could this be a factor?
