driving with cel on??

Default driving with cel on??

would it be alright to drive with the cel light on because i need to drive to the dealer and its pretty far away.

Depends what the CEL is. At worst the car is in limp mode, and you can "limp" it to the dealer. See if you can pull the code and let us know....

my friend drove his car for a long time with the CEL on... itz still driving like that LOL... itz fine but jus dont drive it hard....

I drove for a few weeks with mine on, when I went to get it checked, the fuel cap wasnt on tight enough, isnt that some BS, and I had to pay $30!

the cel only comes on when i start driving it and stays on.

yeah went to the dealer and they said that my F&*ken ecu is f#$k and that it cost $3000(australian dollars) for a new one...that excluding labor cost...man i dont know wat to do now and they said that i could still drive it for now...

You should be able to get a used ecu for under 300 USD

personally i dont trust dealers.. check the cel code your self. And you can find used ecus way cheaper than that. Usually for around 350 or so.

I don't mean to sound stupid but, how can you check it yourself?
