Drivetrain issues, stumped.
Ok, over the weekend I rebuilt my transmission and dropped in a new clutch, shift linkage, and axle. It's a 96 Ls Special. I switched out all my synchros with Synchrotech carbon lined sychros and all new springs. Replaced a new ball bearing wheel in the clutch housing. I put it all back together and went to start the car and it stalled...while lifted in the air. Why? I can't figure it out and to top it off it's locked into gear. I know I'd have to tack the trans apart again, I've done this before but I'd never had it lock on me before. Yes, I put in new fluids, No, the diff is not blown, No, I have no leaks. I did however replace the steel rod from the inside that hooks to your shift linkage and rather than using that pin to secure it down, I drove a bolt and locking nut in. I could really use some answers and suggestions to my problems. Picture would also help if you have a suggestion to whats wrong or if something would look funny taht i'm not seeing.
