Default vehicle speed sensor

Ok i know that this has been done to death, because i did a search on my vehicle speed sensor and its everywhere. I read everything , everyones had to say about it. But i did the search, so I could find out where to buy one besides the acura dealerships. I've done searches online and no luck. I need one bad, vtec does not function correctly with my speedometer not working. So i turn to the honda community for help. Where can i get a brand new speed sensor?

A Honda dealer, I personally only buy parts from the manufacturer, maybe NAPA or PepBoys would have it though, have you tried calling around?

I know what you mean buy directly buying from the manufacture, but will it be one of those things where it will be quote "you get what you pay for" type things. I mean it is just a speed sensor. but I will check pep boys and napa out, and compare prices if they have it, thanks

i posted some posts on here about the same thing but no one really knew except from the dealer. Autozone can get them but its gonna be the same price as the dealer which depends on your sub-model but my ex-girlfriends GSR's was abit over 200 and dealer parts are better than autozones. Call around see what you can find. I tried junkyards but they said they cant sell the sensor( problly cuz they want to sell whole trannys) but if you can get back in the yard and find a teg with a tranny still in it, pocket the sensor, its not that big and buy something else like some interior parts

Like dark dragon says, check a U-PULL apart lot or something.. I needed a trans for a friend so I went out hunting, came across a EG civic with JDM folding mirrors and the switch. Snatched that **** up real quick. Didn't find a trans though. If I'm not mistaken the speed sensor is like 1 maybe 2 bolts. Pretty simple and like said small, pocketable small.
