dizzy timing quick question

Default dizzy timing quick question

so i just put my ITR motor together and i put on a brand new dizzy and rotor and everything, and i was reading up about hot to time the dizzy after i put on my timing belt, but if im running chrome do i need to worry about setting my distributor up right since the timing maps will be by my ecu?am i making any sense at all?

the timing does change according the the map if tuned however crome does the timing off stock timing still so set it at stock.

well i dont have a timing gun at the moment and the motor was never marked for the dizzy so it would be better to have it slighty retarded vs advanced until i can figure out where to set it at? oh yea my motor is like 12.5 -1 cp so im just tryin to be extra cautious.
