midpipe length is different between ls and gsr. the gsr has a shorter midpipe (if i'm remembering correctly). if you tried to bolt the gsr exhaust up to an ls, the pipe wouldn't reach the cat, it'd be like 4" too short.

yep! that's I learn from my friend's gs-r. my old greddy exhaust would fit my other friends ls but it was too short on the gs-r; about 3-4 inches shorter.

so wait, you just completely contradicted that statement...he said then ls piping is longer, and you agreed but then said the ls piping was too short on the gsr

so if the ls piping is longer than the gsr piping how was it too short on the gsr, wouldnt that make it too long...

it'll fit if the gs-r catback is from 00-01 integra. (94-01 LS, 00-01 gs-r, type-r catbacks are all interchangeable)
if its from pre 00 gs-r, you just gotta extend the pipe.

yea the second quote makes sence, but if the midpipe was shorter than the exhaust system would be longer. in wich case you might be able to cut it and reatatch what is needed to bolt it on. because its rare im guessing the gsr midpipe is longer than that of the ls.

my bad
I was trying to say that on my civic coupe the greddy exhaust I had fits my friends integra ls but it won't fit the gs-r because when I bolt up the exhaust it was about 3-4 inches shorter. sorry I wasn't watching what I type down.

To get the Gsr(94-99) catback to fit u will need to cut it about 3-4 inches.
here is why:

*pic borrowed from team-integra.net

SurferX @ t-i.net-
"Note that all brackets connect at the same point. The LS and Type R A-pipes are equal in length and have the primary O2 sensor before the cat so that's why you can fit Type R header applications onto an LS. In 2000, the GS-R switched to an A-pipe the same length as the LS.
