Default DC2 JDM conversion questions

I searched through couple of the threads in the FAQ section, but I still have a couple questions.

I have never done a JDM conversion before, but HT always seems to be able to help. I wanted to know how you guys feel about the hood latch set up. Do you think the DA latch and cable is the way to go, or should I use the stock DC latch and DA cable?

Also, the headlights, does anyone have info for the high beams? I can see that the low beams are just plug and play, but the high beams have a few more wires on the JDM set up then the USDM high beams. So just need help with wiring the high beams. Also what are you guys doing about the fog lights? Are you hooking up a switch/relay and turning them on manually, or are you guys hooking them up with the low beam switch and just running them with the low beams? Just trying to see what some of you guys who have done this prefer to do?

Thanks in advance to anyone that helps out. If you got pictures, post em up.

Thanks,

Jason

if your conversion didn't come with a latch, I would use one from a DA and not one from a DC... the headlights are easy to wire up, just search, they're all over the place... as for the fogs I had a OEM fog light button that replaced my cruise control button and wired them up... I'll help you find a wiring diagram for everything later if you can't find it... good luck!

Yea I saw a picture that oe guy posted on here, but it was a little "busy." Yes I have the latch from the JDM front end. So I guess I will just go with the DA cable then.

Thanks so far guys.

DA cable is the way to go as been said, DC latch works perfectly fine but since u have jdm one then u don't need to worry about that.

as the wiring for headlights there is a diagram floating here somewhere that somebody drew, and fogs can be wired as oem fogs based on the service manual or u can wire it to a separate switch not to depend if headlights on or not but that's the proper way

Hey didn't the USDM GSR have an option for stock fog lights? I may just pick up that switch and wire the JDM fog lights to it. Try to make everything look as clean as possible. I will have to re-learn how to post pictures on HT. Once I do that, I can post some progress pictures of the car.

Ya, the 99-01 Integra came with option foglights and the switch is the one that mount to the armrest. I have one for sale, $23 shipped to your door.

IMO.....DA cable and latch would work better......bought a brand new cable only for $25 and used that for my conversion. no problems.. The design of the hood for the DA's and JDm 95+FRontend are very similar.

I was going to order my cable for the DA today. It shows two different ones. A part number ending in ZA, and a part number ending in ZB. Any thoughts, or does it not matter.

Oops, nevermind, found it. 74130-SK7-A01ZA
