DC header on DA?
I was looking at a cheap aftermarket 4-1 header on craigslist and the ad says it will fit a 94-97 GSR and a 92-93 B17 GSR. I was wondering if this would fit on my LS DA. I know the cross member gets in the way I believe, correct me if im wrong. But what modification would be needed? I also assume it should fit because I THINK, not positive, that the DA cross member etc. and the DB2 cross member etc. are the same setup. Basically just wondering if it will fit right and if not what kind of modification I will need to do to make it fit?

^^why would you have to remove a/c and p/s?
also, what year is your DA? 92-01 integras use a longer 16.5" cat, while 90-91 are like 14.5"
so, if your DA is 90-91, you'll need a longer cat/test pipe.
DC crossmember is a different design. DA's use torsion bars in the front. DC doesn't. you'll need to notch the crossmember.
what i did was remove the crossmember, install the header, then mock up the crossmember where it should fit and mark what needs to be cut out. it's not that much. mine was a cut like .5" deep x 1.5" wide. just off the seam.
is it a 2 piece? or 1 piece header?

Its a 1 piece 4-1. Mines DA's a 92. And the ad says 92-01 GSR's. I know it will bolt on to the motor, my question is if it will fit on to the stock header back I currently have? Are the GSR's headerback's different lengths than the RS/LS/GS? Also, since the ad says it will fit a 92 or 93 GSR, will it fit my 92 GS? I assume the setup is the same.
ye, it'll fit in that respect. the length of the cat changed in 92 for emissions purposes. for obd1. you will still need to modify the xmember though. if you have access to a hoist, easiest way is to first unbolt the xmember from the body, then unbolt the radius rod retaining nuts from the xmember. pay close attention to the orientation of the bushings in the xmember when you separate it, as they will fall out as you pull the xmember out
then, bolt the header up and measure where your cut will be. cut, then bolt the xmember back up. fin

lol. well, only other option is jack stands. guess i'm just spoiled now, but i won't do anything without the hoist now that i have access to one. hell, i'll wait weeks for one to free up
i think how much and where you cut depends on the header.

it might work.. i installed some 4-2-1 1 PIECE dc headers on my 92 DA..i just moved the crossmemebr around..and it cleared..but 4-1 u gonna need to modify the crossmember
