Here is kind of a stupid question...what is the difference between a DA and a DB? I always thought mine was DA till a sec. ago when I went to write down the vin. #. Now I feel like a total dumba**

 

DA9 2dr 1.8L 90-93 integra LS/GS/RS

DB1 4dr 1.8L 90-93 integra LS/GS/RS

DB2 2dr 1.7L VTEC 92-93 GSR

 

Pls tell me you didnt swap out a b20 for a b17...

Hopefully he kept atleast the head...slap it on that b20.....still he a idiot...the money he spent for the motor and swap em, he could of easily had the old motor fixed....

I didnt destroy the motor, the previous owner got to damn greedy with power with nitrous and destroyed it. He was the dumb one. He didnt take care of the car that well and basically right now I'm trying to put it all back to gether. I would change it back to the B17 just to be original if not then slap on a B16 head. Since the previous owner worked at a speed shop and had the B20 layin' around i figured I might as well stick it in. I'm not sure what he did with the B17 cause i sure as hell didnt get it. Anyone have a B17 they would trade for the B20?

Maybe you don't realize it yet but one of the rarest USDM models we have here is the DB2. Which ultimately is the Engine/Transmission.

I was lucky enough to get myself one with the engine in perfect condition (was rebuilt when I bought it) but the body is below average. If you can actually get your hands on a B17 DO NOT take it for granted.

 

b17's are cool cuz they are rare? 1.8L VTEC &gt; 1.7L VTEC. I never understood what all the hype was about with b17's.

i didnt realize i there were children on this forum. I still have the YS1 with the LSD. The ONLY reason why I want the B17 is cause that is what came with the car. Not cause they actually have that great amont of power.

The black sheep b-series 1.7L motor is nothing to just toss away.

 

Yeah I would like to own a b17 just for the fact that they are rare I believe that there was a user on here selling a complete b17 longblock for what i felt was a good price. Not sure of his username though, but it had v8killer in it

 

I have a 1992 GSR and there is no way I would get rid of my motor. Just for the fact is it is rare.
