It seems almost every morning when I start up my car I will put the e-brake down and he light on the dash that sais BRAKE is still on and then will go off 15 minutes later or so. It does not effect the drivability of the car but its just really annoying. Anyone else have this problem and how did you fix it? Thanks

 

maybe you need some brake fluid? worth a shot takes 10 sec to check

 

i got that same problem.... it usually happens in the morning when my car is cold, and when i start driving it'll go off... i usually just push the button and move the e-brake up and down a little and it'll go away.. or when ur driving just tap the brakes real quick and it sometimes goes away... its hella annoying though

That happens on my Nissan mini van when I go around corners too fast. It's pretty annoying, but not something to worry too much about

 

That's a telltale sign that you're low on brake fluid.

 

as everyone and there mothers say...brake fluid

 

if its not the brake fluid then its the tension of the cable, adjust that and you'll be fine.

mine does the same thing but i'm waiting to get my new brakes installed before i make any adjustments to the cable

 

I'll put $20 on brake fluid level, I JUST fixed this problem Just add a bit till its AT not over the MAX line on the container.

 

It happens to me occasionaly. I just got used to it. I suppose its just a faulty sensor.

That happens all the time at my job when we pull up the e-brake to do spins in neons and escorts. but yeah fluid or the cable is probably the cause.
