damaged block drain plug, help!
im in the middle of a head gasket job and whoever installed the block coolant drain plug last fucked it up because the first couple threads on the plug are a little damaged (look flattend out a little), enough that it wont thread into the block.
so I ordered a new plug from acura, hopefully this takes care of it since aluminum is harder than brass so im really hoping the block threads are still in decent shape.
but if a new plug doesnt work what are my options? tap the block? dont have any experience with fucked threads since i use a torque wrench...
