Default D16 94 integra

Hey I had bought a 94 integra from my brother inlaw before i left to iraq and it has a vtec d16 in it. figured i do something a lil different. I trying to drop a turbo in it and i was wondering would i have to get a integra specific intercooler or i can use the one that comes with the d16 turbo kit?

that answered his question.....

i would think you would need an intercooler that has brackets to fit an integra frame, intercooler plumbing same story?

A d16 is almost worthless to waste money on. D-series engine technology is over 20 years old.

you dip ***** he didnt ask no ones smart *** opinions, get the d16 turbo kit you may have to shave the inside bumper cover a bit but it will work. but if you are looking for more power i would consider going back to a ls motor with spray. it may cost the same as a turbo kit depending on what kit you go with, just beware of the stainless manifolds on ebay, the cast ones are way better,
hope this helps

i had though about doing the engine swap but i want to go for something a lil unexpected than what everyone else is doing.I plan on getting the JDM DC2 front end conversion. The kit i seen was on procivic.com. It comes with an intercooler that im wondering would fit that front end.It really sucks that being in iraq i can't really look at my car and try to figure out somethings and i dont want to send it to a shop to get engine work done when i can do it myself.

who cares what other people say do what you want. a d16 turbo can do 220whp reliably on a stock block and if it blows its just a few hundred bucks away from getting another one and that should be enough to get you into 13s. look into homemadeturbo.com and piece one together yourself. you can get a greddy kit too but you might have to get some custom IC piping because it was originally made for a civic.
