I have a 92 GSR. When I try cranking the car sometimes it doesnt want to start. When I turn the key to start it, my RPM goes crazy and the lights dim, and makes this fast clicking noise. It only does this sometimes. And I would have to keep turning the key quite a few times to get it to start.

The battery seems fine because everything comes on. And It cranks fine most of the time, its just that this happens once in awhile. And its getting annoying. Im just stumped to what the problem is. Can it be the starter?

Edit: Read some old post, but no description as mine. Might be the main relay?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

It really sounds like you have a bad battery.
