Just make sure to buy a low/no silicate version of their coolant. Also, some people have had problems using the Dexcool formulas.

If you are just refilling it and already used Evans before, it has a 4.6 qt capacity. So you will need to buy 5 qts (1.25 gal), since it's a waterless coolant. Lucky for you, with NPG+ you don't have to change it a lot.
If you have never used Evans and were using another brand, you need to drain everything completely, probably run the Evans 'flush' and put in 6.8 qts of NPG+ (capacity after full overhaul). That would mean you need 2 gallons(8 qts).
If you use NPG-R, they advise you change it once a year for race vehicles and every other year for street driven 'race' performance vehicles. I think NPG+ lasts up to 5 years or some craziness.

Regular Prestone green coolant contains no silicates. One gallon mixed with one gallon of distilled water is more than enough for my cooling system.

Don't get to hung up on colors. There are green colored coolants that have silicates and some that don't. For example G-05 coolant is fine to use on our cars and its a light yellow color.

I've been using NPG for years in my roadrace motorcycles. I've also got NPG+ in my car, sport ute, and various other bikes.
It contains no silicates. It won't overheat and reduces detonation just like they say. It has no service limit and will never need to be changed. It isn't corrosive so my pump and radiator won't go bad. This stuff really is maintenance free. The NPG-R will get slushy at -10F, so it might not be the best option for street cars.
We get a lot of our race stuff from kneedraggers.com and they have NPG+ for sale, but they priced it kind of high (like $27/gall?). There's also a list of dealers at the evanscooling.com site.
Have a wheelie nice day!
