Comptech RACE Header??
Anyone running on one? How is it? These retail for over $900.00 so I'm assuming its quality and gains are good.
How does this header compare to SMSP, DTR, or Header Tech headers??

if its a "race" header - then it was not meant for public use - which means its most likely meant for a car at the drag strip or the track ... so it could very possible eliminate the cat, the thing is .. most of the times a test pipe is just in place of where cat could be --- this header does look long tho ...
You can still run a cat, the SMS / Hytech do.
The difference is that the header is much longer than the stock and common aftermarket headers. So where the cat is placed is much further back that it sits in the stock possition.
So, you will have to cut your exhaust and reweld the flange further back. You will also have to use a testpipe or cat, unless you want to use a different flange on your B pipe. The B pipe flange is a three bolt, where the collector flange shown on this header (and all aftermarket headers I have seen) is a two bolt so it can mount up to a cat.
Might as well upgrade to an actual 2.5" exhaust before you spend close to a G on a header. No need to spend that much only to have a bottleneck right after the collector.

These, like the other high-end long-tube headers, usually take several months to get once ordered.
I preordered a couple and have them in stock.
If you have any additional questions feel free to let me know.

What ever ended up happening w/ that Ebay guy?
I was at a shop last Friday and there was a guy there getting one of these installed on his RSX... he had some O2 sensor simulator thing, and his CEL didn't turn on.

skip the Comptech adapter, we ordered a couple and for the money you're better off going with a testpipe that fits your b-pipe size. the flange on the Comptech needs to be bored out for most exhausts.
