Default compression tested

little worried about the numbers, its a 99 b18c1 and it tested out as follows

cyl 1: 175
cyl 2: 140
cyl 3: 195
cyl 4: 175

the engine ran for about a minute or two but not completely warmed up, should that make a huge difference...and also i need to adjust the valves some...i did a wet test on cyl 2 and it jumped to 225 and and it slowly went down after 2 addition tests, thats a cylinder ring right?...and finally if it matters, here are the mods on the car:

type r cams (possible, not certain), Skunk 2 intake manifold, STR Throttle Body, AEM cai, Megan 4-1 Header, MSD Sport Compact Ignition, MSD Blaster Coil

I would try a wet compression test for #2. It does seem like something isn't right. Off topic, how do you like the megan header? Fitment? I have a 96 GSR and i really can't beat the price of that one, do you recommend?

it went up to 225 and i redid it an addition 2 times and it was dropping slowly 2nd @ 215 3rd @ 205...as for the header, it fit fine...i barely drive the car since its not registered but from what i have driven it seems better then the 4-2-1 rsr header that was on it...only issue with my header was i got the b18 in a crx so i had to replace the crossmember

That sounds about right..if your rings are bad and each time your cranking it wouldnt you be using some of that oil each turn? Im not 100% sure about the going down each time but I know if it shoots up than that would be a bad ring.

yeah i've heard of that it's in like a silver red and blue can, i think. Engine restore is what i'm thinking of. I used to use it, but then i thought the same stuff that fills in the scratches in the cylender wall will fill in the holes in the oil filter reducing oil flow. So i stopped using it

thats a reasonable thought, has that ever been known to happen?...and also you said u used to us it...does that mean you added more every so often? if so how often did you add it? and since you kept using it im guessing it did work for sure right?
