Default compression question lsv ctr pistons

i have a fully built gsr motor and i broke a piston in cylinder 4, i was thinking about using an ls block with ctr pistons to my gsr head..the head is basically all skunk2 valves ect..i have type r cams..will my compression be to high to run that set up on 93 pump gas?also will it have to be tuned? my compression in my current set up with gsr with ctr pistons was about 12.3.1 i was told with ls block it would be a little higher. i just dont want to run into the same problem and the piston hits the head..other wise im just gonna replace one ctr piston i have in my gsr block and run the same set up if i cant do the lsv set up. any information would be good thanks
