clutch problem help
ok well me and my friends switched cars (he has an s2k and i have an integra) and after i came back into town they told me the clutch was slipping. so i'm like wtf. well i get in to drive the car to see whats wrong. here are the things i notcied. first off it was kinda hard to get in and out of gear...any gear. 2nd the clutch engage barely letting off the pedal. i mean i would barely let the clutch pedal out maybe 1/4 an inch and it would fully engage. 3rd it would stutter and bounce alot in first gear like i just learned to drive a stick shift. but i actually got to driving it the clutch wasn't slipping at all just kinda hard to get into the next gear. i bled the clutch...not all the way but a few times to see if any bubbles came out but nothing but fluid. any advice?
Ya, just sounds like you have a clutch master cylinder or slave cylinder problem. Look for leaks high behind the pedals and at the slave cylinder. What was the fluid level at? Did your friends add fluid? Try bleeding again and your pedal should come back.
