Default cluster plug and play??

Hey i have a 96 LS and i wanted to change to a GSR cluster. The GSR cluster i am about to buy is off a 99 GSR and i wanted to make sure that it was Plug and Play and work pefectly fine before i purchase it please let me know thanks in advance..

my friend broke his gsr cluster and used a ls cluster...ithink it should work both ways.....it should be plug and play....

why not ask the guy to let you try it out....its only 4 to 6 screws and 2 harness

that would be the better idea. if your buying it from someone in person and not over Ebay, why not ask that. it only takes about 5-7 minutes max(i know, i tried this for the first time yesterday )

I don't think 99 and 96 are exactly a direct swap. Do a search but I think you might have to swap out the green film on the backs of the clusters.

Just wanted to make sure - Sorry for bringing this back from the dead! I have already read about swapping the green film but I just want to know what is plug and play for GSR's

94-97 clusters plug and play?

98-01 clusters plug and play?

Is this correct for GSR's?

i got another question... is there a way to make the odometer read the mileage you want it to read when you swap in a different cluster?
