Cluster Issue
So having an issue with my 97 LS cluster lights. The cluster was swapped with a ITR USDM cluster.
My tail lights, check engine light, blinker lights, and dimmer switch all work just the illumination for the speedo and tach aren't working. The fuses isn't blown either.
I can apply power directly to the dash with it out and the lights come right on but when I put the harness in they do not come on.
There is an aftermarket stereo installed, so I am kind of lost.

If other illumination lights are working then it has nothing to do with the aftermarket stereo.
My guess is the cluster plug(s) are not pined properly, there should be two(2) leads for the cluster lights, a red/black, [power] and a red, [ground from Dash Lights Brightness Controller] make sure those two leads a pinned properly for the cluster, they must go to the same place you supply power and ground too to get the illumination to work with cluster out. 94

Finally figured out the issue, after tracing the cables from the dash cluster the wire was cut and never soldered back. SMH I just don't understand what some people do with cars before I get them.
